This series contains materials documenting California’s decision to establish a state college in the South Bay region and the search for a site. It includes correspondence, legislation, maps, photographs, and resolutions and reactions from cities in supporting or opposing potential sites. The bulk of the collection consists of bound reports dealing with environmental and population factors affecting the search for a permanent campus.
